Water instead of fat has been used to mix dry ingredients in order to keep cookies fresh on long trips. Carr's Cabin Crackers with their delicate, great texture designs proved extremely popular with sailors. Established 1908 word soon spread to each port and inevitably, in 1908, these biscuits were available to landlubbers too in the form of carr table water.
