Doorlys XO Fine Old Barbados Rum is a premium authentic Barbados rum, made from selected aged rums that undergo a second aging in casks previously used for aging Spanish Oloroso Sherry for a rich, round, complex palate. Foursquare Rum Distillery is owned by R L Seale & Co Ltd, a family business since 1926. R.L. Seale is one of Barbados’ oldest trading houses, a family-owned business whose involvement in rum making extends far back as 1820. Current head distiller, Richard L. Seale, is one of the region’s most innovative distillers and blenders and has a passion for producing amazing authentic rum with complex flavour. The Foursquare Distillery occupies the site of a former sugar factory that dates back to 1636 and, as one of the most modern and efficient rum distilleries in the world, is designed to be both highly energy efficient and environmentally friendly. The distillery is fast becoming one of the most renowned rum distilleries in the world for both rum drinkers, aficionados and collectors alike due to their no nonsense authentic production techniques and quality output. They produce light rums in a three-column vacuum still and heavier rums in a pot still.
